Schiff On the Ballot; Let’s Make It Matter

Anna Little won the Republican primary for the 6th District nomination in New Jersey. She was outspent 20-1 ($400,000 to $20,000), had precisely zero support from any county republican establishment and accomplished something that hasn't been done in either party in New Jersey since 1962; win "off-the-line". I haven't posted here or at my own home in about a month because I was completely invested in making that happen. Sometimes blogging takes a back seat to winning elections.

Sometimes.

Thanks to everyone here at The Resistance for their support, especially the 'Bot for giving Anna a home deep in the heart of Texas. 'Bot, how 'bout a choice in the new poll brother!

Anyway, it happened and it's gonna happen again in November. Give her some money. She deserves it.

On that note, our friend Nate at Pitbull Patriots, (formerly at From the Rust Belt) has a post about a similar, though not identical, story unfolding in Connecticut where the establishment gave "the line" to Linda McMahon instead of the far better choice, Peter Schiff.

Mayor Little is fond of saying "this is the year".

We're doing our part here in the swamp to make that a reality.

Here's your chance Connecticut:

Conservatives had a chance to unite behind former Congressman Rob Simmons in the race for Connecticut’s U.S. Senate seat, but we didn’t. The result? Former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) CEO Linda McMahon, with her superior financial position, won the endorsement of the Connecticut State Republican Convention and Simmons suspended his campaign four days later. Whether he can’t or won’t, Rob Simmons isn’t fighting for the Republican nomination anymore. The fact that his name will still appear on the August 10 primary ballot is irrelevant.

If McMahon is the GOP candidate, the consequences could be dire. She is a RINO in Tea Partier’s clothing. She is on the record supporting the TARP bailouts. She hedged on trying Khalid Sheikh Mohammed in the United States and only opposed it when she came under pressure from Simmons. She opposed the stimulus, but had no problem accepting $3 million in state money for the WWE — then subsequently laying off 10% of her workforce. She is pro-abortion and has donated to the Republican Majority for Choice organization. She and husband Vince have donated tens of thousands of dollars to Democrats over the years, including to now-Chief of Staff Rahm Emmanuel’s congressional reelection campaign in 2008.

Linda McMahon won the endorsement of the Connecticut State Republican Convention on May 21, making her the presumptive nominee for U.S. Senate.

And as I exposed in December (reposted last month), McMahon’s WWE has a direct connection to the radical leftist Rock the Vote project. Rock the Vote defines itself as a “progressive” organization and helped get out the vote for Barack Obama in 2008, which means it was instrumental in his election. Linda McMahon was a part of that.

It is abundantly clear that McMahon is nothing more than a Tea Party pretender, the worst kind of RINO, the next Arlen Specter. She is a totally unacceptable Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate. She must be stopped.
